SHAPING THE FUTURE OF AVIATION: KEY INSIGHTS FROM THE 4th ISA WORKSHOP
On Friday, December 13, the Institute for Sustainable Aviation (ISA) hosted its 4th workshop on « Trajectories for the Future of Aviation » at ENAC.
We are delighted to welcome Jean-Marie Tarascon, an internationally renowned researcher and Professor at the Collège de France, where he holds the prestigious Chair of « Solid-State Chemistry – Energy. »
Professor Tarascon’s remarkable career began in the United States, where he pioneered the development of plastic Li-ion technology. Upon returning to France in 1995, he established the European network of excellence ALISTORE-ERI and, more recently, the French network for electrochemical energy storage (RS2E). His cutting-edge research focuses on battery materials and electrolytes, novel reactivity concepts, next-generation chemistries beyond lithium, and advanced sensing technologies. With over 700 scientific papers, ~100 patents, and numerous awards—including the 2020 Balzan Prize and the 2022 CNRS Gold Medal—Professor Tarascon is one of the foremost leaders in his field.
During the webinar, he will deliver an insightful presentation titled: « Batteries: Indispensable but Perfectible Allies of Tomorrow’s World. »
The session will be hosted by Laurent Joly, Director of ISA, and moderated by Marc Ivaldi, Professor of Economics at Toulouse School of Economics.
