Bastien’s research adopts a systemic approach, based on the Life Cycle Assessment methodology, to address three scientific targets :
– assess the absolute environmental sustainability of aviation prospective scenarios to evaluate the displacement of environmental problems;
– elaborate scenarios compatible with planetary boundaries ;
– develop an absolute environmental sustainability module for the AeroMaps sectoral Integrated Assessment Model (IAM).
This thesis is directed by Florian Simatos (ISAE-SUPAERO) and Lorie Hamelin (INSA), and supervised by Alexandre Gondran (ENAC).
It is funded by ADEME and a grant from EUR TSAE (ISAE-SUPAERO, ENAC, ONERA)
