MEASURING FLIGHT EFFICIENCY: MELISSA HOFMANN JOINS ISA FOR A DATA-DRIVEN STUDY
ISA welcomes Mélissa Hofmann for a six-month internship focused on efficiencies in air trajectories.
The Institute for Sustainable Aviation is delighted to welcome Mudit Dhakar for the 4th year of his thesis at the Toulouse School of Economics.
The aim of his research is to evaluate empirically the relative
effectiveness of taxes affecting airlines. Specifically, the aim is to compare
the effectiveness of an increase in airport taxes with that of taxes on energy
consumption, while taking account of the different reactions of consumers to an
increase in taxes or ticket prices. The aim is to understand the strategies (in
terms of prices, frequencies, fleet structure, etc.) used by airlines to reduce
their greenhouse gas emissions in a highly competitive environment.
