PATHWAYS TO SUSTAINABLE AVIATION: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH SCHOOL
The Institute for Sustainable Aviation (ISA) is pleased to announce the first edition of its Research School, to be held 18–22 May 2026 on the ISAE-SUPAERO campus in Toulouse.
The programme will bring together PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and research engineers from engineering, exact sciences, and the humanities and social sciences to engage with the technological, environmental, economic, and societal challenges of aviation’s transition towards sustainability.
Combining high-level lectures, parallel disciplinary tracks, and interdisciplinary group projects, the Research School is designed to foster rigorous cross-disciplinary dialogue.
Participants will collectively address the complexity of sustainable aviation systems, contributing to a shared Gigamap that integrates diverse scientific perspectives into a systemic representation.
The programme also includes exclusive visits to Airbus and the Aeroscopia Museum.
As the number of places is limited to 30 participants, applicants should pre-register directly on the dedicated website by joining their curriculum vitae, the duly completed pre-registration form, and a copy of their passport (for non-Europeans applicants).
Take part in advancing interdisciplinary research that will define the future of aviation
